NS Web Solutions employs a team of experts hand-picked for every project, to ensure that each project gets the specialized attention it deserves. All projects are overseen by Project Coordinator Allen Shaw.

Allen is a Texas native very happy to have returned home to North Texas, after many years working on the East Coast and abroad. He enjoys living in the Dallas metro area while continuing to serve a variety of clients, regardless of their location.

Nonprofit

Allen has many years of experience in the non-profit sector, having worked full-time with non-profit organizations from 1993 to 2005 in various roles ranging from direct fund-raising to website development and programming. The first seven of those years were spent mostly with direct service providers for youth, in the fields of youth development and service-learning, and in the remaining years Allen worked in direct support of international conference programs designed for the government, education, and diplomatic sectors. While the work was often challenging, and the unique constraints of the non-profit sector sometimes frustrating, Allen says he “tremendously enjoyed” his work with these organizations and the lessons learned through those years.

In 2005, Allen made the big decision to return to his parents' hometown in northern Texas. Having spent several years builing and maintaining online data management systems for distributed teams, he was confident that much of the work of website and Web software development would be unhinderred by distance, and he was soon partnering with a team of designers and developers to serve clients in cities around the U.S. and overseas.

Website Design

Allen has been programming for the Web since 1998, when his employer, a student organization, asked him to develop an online registration system for their international exchange programs. From this successful beginnning, Allen continued learning the trade, and in 2001 he took a full time position as database manager for a mid-sized international non-profit in Washington, D.C. Within a few months he was busy converting their contact management system from MS-Access to a custom built online system. Allen says he “fell in love with the challenge and art of website and web software development,” and since then he's worked entirely in the area of web software development, with a special focus on data and contact management systems for distributed teams.

Allen came to NS Web Solutions in May of 2010. He now serves as the primary contact for all our client interractions, ensuring that each client has access to a developer who truly undersands both the business concerns and technical processes of developing their project.

Goal

Allen's personal goal is to provide absolutely seemless communication between our clients and our development team, regardless of the scope, timeline, or budget of the project. Whatever the client's needs and budget are, Allen will work with the client to make it happen.
